Performance Heating and Cooling helps keep your home just right

Owners John Paul Alexander and Michelle Alexander have managed Performance Heating and Cooling for nearly five years now. For those five years, it's been the Alexanders' goal to keep local counties in West Tennessee feeling at peak comfort in their homes.

"Comfort and safety are our number one priorities," said Michelle Alexander. "Honesty and integrity as well. We're passionate about the work that we do, and we offer prices to fit every budget. We've been blessed to serve the wonderful communities of West Tennessee, and we try to treat our customers the way that we would want to be treated."

Performance installs American Standard units, but also does repairs on all makes and models of heating and cooling units. They can also perform dryer vent cleaning and air duct cleaning, which removes dirt, dust, pollen, pet dander and other allergens from the air ducts in homes to help decrease respiratory irritations. The team offers an energy savings agreement to help keep heating and cooling units cleaned and serviced twice a year by highly trained technicians.

And when they say highly trained, they mean it. The group boasts a wide range of training certifications for each technician.

John Paul Alexander has worked in the HVAC trade for 16 years. Licensed as a General Contractor, John Paul Alexander isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Most of his current work is done as a technician out in the field.

Riley Davis is a TCAT McKenzie alumni with certifications in gas heat, heat pump, air conditioning, electrical, EPA, 410A and OSHA 10/30.

"I've been around the business my whole life, but I started here in August as a service tech," Davis said. "It's been a fun time working here, and there's a lot of good people. I've learned a lot working here, and there's a lot of learning opportunities here."

Derek Bagby is also a TCAT McKenzie graduate. He has certifications in gas heat, heat pump, air conditioning, electrical, EPA, 410A, commercial air conditioning and OSHA 10/30.

"I've been with Performance for about two years now," Bagby said. "It's the first heating and air job I've had, and it's been nothing but good ... they treat you like family."

Dylan Wood is a TCAT Jackson alumni with a certification in air conditioning, electrical, EPA, 410A, OSHA 10/30 and EPA 609.

"I've been here since July of 2020," Wood said. "I mostly do installs in the maintenance agreements, so a lot of new customers will see me first."

Performance is very involved in the local community. In addition to various sponsorships and donations to schools and groups in Milan, Performance has donated new and used parts to Milan High School to help Career and Technical Education Teacher Paul Glass teach students basic electrical skills. Ms. Alexander is also the president elect of Milan's Rotary Club for 2021-22 and a Junior Auxiliary of Milan member. Mr. and Ms. Alexander are both members of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Performance has a new location coming soon. In the meantime, they can be contacted at 731-613-1500 or online at performance.ac.
